In this two-year program you will gain meaningful work experience, mentorship, and targeted training across a range of business areas within the company, working in a diverse and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Rotate through the following discipline areas within our Vancouver Shipyard operations: Engineering
Program Management
Planning and Estimating
Production Support
In each discipline area, you will spend 3 – 6 months training and developing new skills, while contributing to state-of-the-art shipbuilding projects
Requirements:
Recently completed (within 2 years) an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or other relevant engineering subject
Registration as an Engineer-In-Training with EGBC, or ability to attain
Proven track record of both strong academic and extracurricular achievements
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience with computer aided drawing/modelling tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, listening and presentation
Strong research, problem-solving and analytical skills
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail
Ability to take initiative, ownership and drive tasks to completion
