Job Description

Join our expert team driving the future of renewable energy through advanced electrical simulation and grid integration. As Engineer Electrical Simulations & Models (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in developing and optimizing models that ensure our wind turbines meet global grid compliance standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain electrical simulation models using power system simulation software (e.g. PSCAD, DIgSilent PowerFactory, Siemens PSS/E)
  • Conduct grid integration studies including stability and harmonics to support wind power plant performance
  • Validate and benchmark simulation models against real-world data and grid requirements
  • Collaborate with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to interpret and implement simulation model requirements
  • Automate model development and study processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide technical feedback to product development teams based on grid compliance insights
  • Apply deep knowledge of power systems and control theory to improve model quality and turbine-grid interaction

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or similar
  • Experience with EMT and RMS modelling and simulation in at least one simulation software like PSCAD, PSS/E or DIgSilent PowerFactory
  • Programming experience in Python or C/C++
  • Experience with interconnection studies and requirements
  • Intercultural understanding: you thrive on working collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies
  • Fluent English spoken and written
  • Good communication skills
  • You are proactive, assertive and a team player

Nice to have

additional skills in Spanish and/or German are a plus
