The Compliance Engineer support the Maintenance Manager by overseeing daily maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies for each area of responsibility. This role involves assisting in the implementation of compliance programs and continuous liaising with all Plant & Equipment teams.
Job Responsibility:
Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure timely and efficient completion of maintenance activities
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of documentation received and equipment to identify and address compliance issues
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports
Training Support: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for maintenance staff on compliance and safety procedures, using internal CMMS system (FMS)
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve compliance-related issues promptly and effectively
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Maintenance Compliance Manager on compliance status and any identified risks
Collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors and departments to ensure cohesive and compliant maintenance operations
Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to monitor and analyse maintenance performance and ensure the Fleet Management System (FMS) is kept up to date with accurate and relevant information
Conduct internal audits and inspections as requested to assess compliance with regulations and policies
Prepare for and participate in external audits by regulatory agencies
Identify and address compliance gaps and implement corrective actions
Provide training to maintenance personnel on compliance requirements and best practices
Develop and deliver compliance awareness programs
Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and certified
Maintain accurate and complete records of compliance activities
Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory agencies
Manage compliance databases and tracking systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Experience in civil or tunnelling construction, typically 3+ years
Experience in maintenance management process (through CMMS)
Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording
Experience in Planning & Resourcing
Knowledge of mechanical and safety regulations for NSW
Sound interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively
