Job Description

Global Operations supports the Observability and Monitoring of multiple NBCU/Sky services including Peacock and Now/Wow. Our mission is to empower our global teams through the innovation and automation of operational systems and services. With teams split across multiple countries and locations we are a truly Global organization providing core services and capabilities to our internal customers. Shift - 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM/Rotational

Job Responsibility

  • Work within a team of engineers to support and develop the platform for Global Operations
  • Maintain and update the code that builds and supports these platforms
  • Assist the developer teams with the development of new features and capabilities
  • Lead, support and assist more junior engineers
  • Provide standard methodologies across the platform to improve simplicity and reliability
  • Assist with the development of custom software for automation, observability, or other requirements
  • Ensure operational documentation, wikis, and readmes are maintained
  • Provide support for operations and delivery teams to remediate production issues as appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 Years of relevant work experience
  • Competent and capable of working with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub
  • Understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios
  • Experience with ELK, Splunk, Datadog
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP administration
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Load Balancing, Routing, Security Groups, VPC, Subnetting
  • Following agile methodologies
  • Infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Build cloud-agnostic solutions

Nice to have

  • Experience with Akamai, CloudFront, Cloudfare
  • Experience with NodeJS, Java
  • Experience with RDS and other cloud database solutions
