Job Description:

Randstad is partnering with a leading global manufacturer in Shrewsbury to find an Engine Test Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the production of high-quality engines. Training will be provided for a suitable candidate to fulfil the role.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring product is always handled in a safe manner around the Test Department
Raise Safety, Environmental and Ergonomic concerns immediately using the appropriate platforms
Manage activity as required in the Bay or Cell, as requested by the Team Leader in the morning brief
The safe use of various cranes, vehicles, and hand tools in and around the Test Department
Ensuring full & accurate detail is logged into the Test systems, allowing full traceability thereafter
Provide verbal and hands on assistance to Assembly and support teams as required
Provide initial & ongoing training to new team members

Requirements:

Willingness and enthusiasm to succeed and complete tasks to deadlines
Good planning and organizational skills are required, as are teamwork skills
Proactive Safety approach to situations
Ability to use on-site vehicles: A1 / A2 pedestrian trucks for material movement and cell loading
Demonstrated familiarity with rigging of Engines or Transmissions
Demonstrated familiarity with EAS (Engine Acceptance Schedules) and TCDM
Demonstrated familiarity with QAD-EE
