Job Description:

The Australian team is looking for a competent and self-driven Communications & Engagement Manager to lead communications and customer engagement, from individuals in need, to charities and community organisations, and support with local communications initiatives. You will build meaningful partnerships, manage high-profile collaborations, and identify new opportunities to engage campaign organizers, donors, and sharers. Based in Sydney, you will work as part of a global team dedicated to increasing generosity and improving access to help. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, enabling you to make independent decisions and deliver results through strategic, solution-oriented collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

  • Source and deliver end-to-end partnerships with creators, agencies, sports clubs, charities, and community organisations
  • Develop high-profile collaborations that increase donations and visibility
  • Identify and onboard new customers from other platforms and create impactful fundraising challenges
  • Work with local and global communication leads to design and implement earned and owned media strategies in Australia
  • Amplify fundraiser stories, trends, and movements across media channels
  • Track industry trends and introduce new product offerings to the local market in innovative ways
  • Design scalable customer success and coaching strategies to drive engagement and fundraiser quality
  • Lead outreach to re-engage past customers and support timely, seasonal, and event-driven campaigns
  • Serve as the main point of contact between Australian and global product teams
  • Recommend localisation strategies and provide internal feedback to inform continuous product improvements
  • Lead international GTM strategies for new products and oversee regional product launches
  • Create outreach materials, presentations, and webinars to support Customer Success and GTM teams
  • Respond proactively to crises and viral news by engaging key stakeholders and influencers
  • Encourage fundraiser creation, sharing, and donations to support urgent relief efforts
  • Manage escalating stories to maximize impact and visibility
  • Drive ideation and strategic outreach for new campaigns and collaborations
  • Delegate campaign tasks, oversee execution, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative strategies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in partnership, engagement and/or communications focused roles requiring autonomy, strategic thinking, and results-driven execution
  • Experience building and nurturing strategic partnerships with charities, community organisations, creators, and corporate partners
  • Experience amplifying campaigns, driving engagement, and increasing donations through collaborative, high-impact initiatives
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments and consistently strive to improve outcomes
  • A self-starter who takes extreme ownership of projects, partnerships, and initiatives
  • Experience working closely with product teams to understand customer needs and tailor solutions that deliver measurable results
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences, both internal and external
  • Experience playing a central role in shaping initiatives with tangible impact
  • Ideally have knowledge of Australia’s fundraising and philanthropy landscape, particularly digital technology, or proven ability to quickly learn a new industry and deliver outcomes
