Job Description:

This full-time role supports children with complex or chronic illnesses and their families by creating meaningful engagement opportunities both within the hospital and throughout the community. This position plays a key role in planning and delivering special events, family outings, and unique experiences that enhance the patient and family experience at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The Engagement Coordinator will collaborate closely with community partners, the Wolfson/Baptist Foundation, and multiple internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work under the direction of the Family Support Services Department Director
  • Coordinate donor engagement activities, event planning, and scheduling
  • Plan, evaluate, and execute special events for patients with complex or chronic illnesses
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external community partners to deliver successful programs and experiences
  • Support family outings and hospital-based engagement activities
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines or procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 Years Donor Engagement Required
  • 3-5 Years Experience working in a hospital setting Required
  • 3-5 Years Event Planning Experience Required

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree
  • Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) Preferred
