Job Responsibility

  • Participating/leading international Research and Development (R&D) projects primarily in the areas of Energy Markets and Storage: 1) Leading/contributing to various aspects of project implementation, including budget management, financial and technical reporting, interaction with stakeholders
  • 2) Writing specifications and use cases
  • 3) Overseeing demonstrators on site
  • 4) Developing new solutions for the Energy Management Platform of EDP (e.g., energy management optimization, tecno-economic models for storage assets)
  • Leading and/or supporting in the sourcing and conduction of applications for new R&D projects
  • Scouting R&D trends and technologies and realize their impact for EDP's business
  • Contributing to international engineering consultancy projects

Requirements

  • Degree, Master or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering (preferably with majors/minors in Energy), Mechanical Engineering or Energy/Environmental Engineering or closely related academic areas provided curricula include topics on Energy
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Renewable Energy Technologies and strategies to integrate them on the electrical grid namely by exploiting flexible assets (e.g., energy storage technologies, demand-side response)
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Energy Management and Energy Markets
  • Programming experience, preferably in Python
  • International mindset and excellent knowledge and use of English (in written and oral expression)
  • Good domain of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Word, Power Point

  • You will support the Life Cycle of the Engine from early schemes to chosen design to test validation and including in service support
  • Perform technical / CFD analyses in support of next generation Engine development using technical expertise in the area of responsibility
  • Participate in the overall design of the engine at all phases, from concept to design through production and including monitoring of engines in service
  • Day-to-day cooperation with internal and external stakeholders from R&D office and international partners at various stages of the project, from concept to change in definition
  • Support the roadmap of team continuous development regarding competences and responsibilities
  • Senior Engineers will review each delivery for its technical content and mentor members of the team
  • As well as support Technical Leader in agreeing the new activities, defining deadlines, tracking and reporting work progress in direct contact with internal stakeholders, identifying team skills and training needs
