Job Description:

Victaulic is seeking an Energy Sales Specialist for the Midwest region. This is an outside sales role where the representative will be responsible for learning products, understanding the industry and business, building strong relationships with customers and distributors, and educating and influencing clients to maximize sales potential. The role involves travel, project management, and working with a team to meet customer requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Learn Victaulic’s products and solutions
  • Learn about competitive pipe joining methods (welding, flanging)
  • Understand construction cycles
  • Find and follow major construction, expansion or retrofit projects
  • Keep current with market trends and competitor activity
  • Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations
  • Develop a business plan with Regional Sales Manager
  • Execute all phases of project pursuit and project management
  • Secure purchase orders
  • Manage project from inception through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job site training, support, final commissioning and after-sale follow up
  • Gain complete information for all quotation requisitions
  • Lead inside sales team, engineering and other support staff
  • Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners
  • Take customers out for dinners, sporting events, and other social events
  • Partner with Victaulic distributors
  • Manage a balanced distribution network
  • Coordinate activities with other Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists
  • Educate customers about the value of Victaulic products
  • Perform tool demos or training on proper installation techniques
  • Conduct lunch and learn presentations for engineers
  • Influence decision-makers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous sales experience selling 'value added' products/services
  • Experience related to commercial construction industry, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings) or mechanical products preferred
