Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement a strategic energy management plan aligned with carbon neutrality objectives and ISO 50001 standards
  • Conduct energy audits and assessments (ASHRAE Level 1 to 3) to identify opportunities for improvement and GHG reduction
  • Collect, analyze, and monitor energy data to establish baselines and performance indicators
  • Define and lead energy improvement projects (process optimization, heat recovery, HVAC systems, etc.)
  • Implement and administer an Energy Management System (EnMS) for effective, real-time monitoring
  • Prepare and submit grant applications (Hydro‑Québec, Énergir, ÉcoPerformance)
  • Raise awareness and provide training to staff on best energy practices
  • Track and present results (energy savings, GHG reduction, ROI) to stakeholders and management

Requirements

  • Valid engineering license (P.Eng.) and CEM or CET certification
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in energy audits, energy efficiency projects, and the management of complex systems
  • Advanced knowledge of energy management systems, HVAC technologies, and industrial optimization
  • Project management skills (planning, multisite coordination)
  • Proficiency with digital tools (EMS, IoT, automation systems)
  • Knowledge of energy incentive programs (Hydro‑Québec, Énergir)
  • French required
  • professional proficiency in English
