Job Description:

Internship at a leading European last-mile logistics real estate company. The intern will join the Amsterdam team to support the roll out of the company's energy strategy agenda across Europe & UK, focusing on PV systems, EV charging infrastructure and storage, utilizing data-driven approaches. The role involves making a valuable impact across a large portfolio of over 1,800 assets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the development and delivery of our Solar PV pipeline to maximize our installed capacity across Europe & UK and focusing on solar communities
  • Provide technical and financial support to regional teams, specifically on ongoing solar projects
  • Engage external stakeholders for effective collaboration based on internal guidelines
  • Ensure ongoing projects meet the requirements, processes, and standards
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project development and execution based on internal guidelines
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on various ongoing energy-related workstreams
  • Manage and enhance the database for existing projects, ensuring comprehensive reporting for all energy-related initiatives
  • Benchmark of energy market regulations for solar, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure technologies at both European and country-specific levels and the UK
  • Perform techno-economic analysis to provide valuable insights into energy markets, factoring in both regulatory and economic considerations, to support decision-making processes
  • Assess the energy market landscape, highlighting electricity and gas prices and the rapidly evolving PPA market and solar communities' alternatives
  • Investigate grid services and congestion issues pertinent to solar and EV projects
  • Explore trends in Solar Communities and Collective Self-Consumption
  • Stay updated on developments in EV charging infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing an Engineering degree
  • Specialization in Energy, Renewable Energy, or Energy Markets from a top engineering university
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student (40 hours a week) for the duration of the internship
  • Strong understanding of (renewable) energy systems and/or energy markets
  • Expertise in technical and financial aspects
  • Emphasis on data-driven insights
  • Keen curiosity and enthusiasm for the rapidly evolving energy landscape in the UK and Europe
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expertise in utilizing data analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
