The Energy Billing Coordinator ensures accurate and timely management of supplier energy invoices. The role combines diligent reporting, analytical rigor, and stakeholder communication. By controlling supplier billing, reconciling invoices with forecasts, and maintaining direct contact with energy suppliers and Distribution System Operators (DSOs), the coordinator will help optimize Powerdot’s energy cost management, detect anomalies, and resolve disputes, all while contributing to the efficiency of financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage supplier energy invoices across Powerdot’s energy contracts, with a strong focus on Poland, from data collection and validation to reporting
Input all relevant energy invoice data into country-specific Excel trackers, ensuring structured data and accurate recording of actuals
Conduct weekly updates to management regarding invoice status and data quality, highlighting missing information
Support the Actuals vs Estimates process in close collaboration with Energy engineers responsible for energy forecasts calculation and reconciliation of supplier invoices with forecasts
Address invoice discrepancies, liaise with energy suppliers and DSOs for disputes or tariff adjustments, and submit complaints when necessary
Proactive in suggesting and implementing process improvements, including automation of data collection and checks to reduce reliance on manual tasks and increase efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Previous experience in invoicing or financial coordination (experience in managing energy invoices is a strong plus)
Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and diligence in recording actual data for reporting
Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
Strong communication skills in English and Polish are highly desirable due to frequent interaction with DSOs
Demonstrated success in resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring strict compliance of billing with contracts
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
