Our Sourcing department intends to recruit an Energy Analytics Specialist.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generate and validate short-term (day-ahead/intraday) forecasts for electricity load and surplus generation (post self-consumption) across all relevant geographies
  • Monitor forecast deviations, analyze root causes, and propose cost-benefit improvement measures
  • Maintain and develop forecasting models to reduce forecast deviations, including recalibration and integration of exogenous variables
  • Extract, process, and provide relevant information from data systems/sources to support business monitoring and prepare datasets for regulatory reporting
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, including automation, standardization, and control enhancements
  • Actively collaborate with other areas of the organization in the development of shared processes/procedures/methodologies

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in a similar field or analyst function
  • Advanced knowledge of time series forecasting
  • Advanced knowledge of Python applied experience in time series forecasting
  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI (DAX)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
  • Familiarity with energy markets/sector
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation
  • Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for top management
