If so, we are looking to recruit a Service Manager to lead the delivery of a new countywide Energy Advice Service. As our Energy Advice Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape and lead the delivery of our new countywide service funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme, supporting vulnerable households across Lancashire by providing energy advice, practical support and energy-saving measures that reduce fuel poverty and improve wellbeing.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the development and delivery of a new, countywide energy advice service that helps frail older people reduce energy costs and stay warm, safe and independent at home
Combining operational management, team leadership and quality assurance, you will oversee homebased energy support, coordinating referrals with health, social care and community partners, and ensuring vulnerable households receive timely, solutions focused advice that improves wellbeing and prevents crisis
Manage and support a small team and ensure that the advice delivered is tailored to meet the needs of clients and creates practical energy saving measures to help reduce household energy costs
Manage the project budget and monitor performance against service targets
Requirements:
Have knowledge of fuel poverty and the energy market, with experience in delivering energy advice
Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
Have experience managing services and staff, including performance management
Be able to demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
Possess strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and targets
Be able to provide a person-centred, flexible and responsive service
Be confident using IT systems including CRM databases and Microsoft applications
Understand safeguarding, risk management and health and safety procedures
Hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car for business purposes
