Job Description:

Supporting the Council’s Energy Team by delivering high‑quality financial, administrative, and data management functions across the corporate, housing, and schools energy portfolios.

Job Responsibility:

  • Validating electricity, gas, and water bills
  • Managing the end‑to‑end billing process
  • Analysing consumption data
  • Identifying opportunities for cost and efficiency savings
  • Investigating billing discrepancies
  • Ensuring accurate payments
  • Supporting statutory reporting and budget forecasting through the delivery of timely and reliable data

Requirements:

  • Strong numeracy, analytical, and IT skills—particularly in Excel
  • Ability to investigate data anomalies, resolve queries, and communicate findings clearly
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team, prioritising workloads effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • A qualification demonstrating strong literacy and numeracy is essential
  • Comfortable undertaking occasional site visits when required
