Job Description

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Endoscopy Technician for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients.

Job Responsibility

  • The primary responsibility of the Endoscopy Technician is to provide direct assistance to surgeons/physicians during endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare endoscopy room
  • set up scopes, monitors, and light sources
  • Gather supplies and check that equipment is working properly
  • Positions patient to give best exposure for endoscopic procedure, using stabilization equipment, when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety
  • Assist physician during procedure
  • passing equipment, managing suction, irrigation, and specimen collection
  • Maintain scope cleaning and disinfection if applicable
  • Follow strict infection control guidelines
  • Participate in emergency resuscitation and stabilization as needed

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Endoscopic Technology program or Surgical Technology Program
  • Certification credentialed by Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) or by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Current BLS Certification
