Job Description:

DigestiveCare, LLC, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated endoscopy tech to join our esteemed team. As an endoscopy tech, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures
  • Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics
  • Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures
  • Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment
  • Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area
  • Assessing patients prior to procedure
  • Document intra-procedure notes
  • Assist physician on all GI procedures
  • Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area
  • Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy
  • Assists in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance and stocking

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Medical assistant certification
  • Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
  • Current BLS required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
  • Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
  • Must be able to function as a team player
  • Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
