Job Description

Hawaii Family Dental is looking for endodontists who want to be part of our patient-focused practices, build collaborative teams with other dental professionals, and enjoy excellent compensation and benefit packages. You intervene to relieve the extreme, even crippling pain that some patients experience. You save teeth. You re-instill lost confidence. You return smiles that have been lost to damage, decay, and disease.

Job Responsibility

  • Review patients’ medical history, current medications, existing conditions, previous dental work, vital signs, and informed consent forms as needed
  • Diagnose patients’ dental needs and create individualized treatment plans
  • Work in collaboration with general dentists and other specialists as needed
  • Educate patients (and their parents) on their diagnosis to ensure acceptance and confidence in their treatment
  • Provide preventative, restorative, and surgical treatment while meeting the standard of care as defined by the American Association of Endodontists
  • Provide treatments that address damage to the tooth pulp as well as the tissue and nerves within and surrounding the root of a tooth that have become damaged or infected
  • Complete progress notes, ensuring that they are clear and comprehensive

Requirements

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited school
  • Licensed to work in Hawaii (at time of start)
  • 5 years of experience in Endodontics is preferred
  • Completed post-doctoral residency program in area of specialty
