Job Description

The Centre for Research and Education of Diabetes and Obesity (CREDO) is located at the Repatriation Hospital Campus of Austin Health and is tiered within the Medical Services Division. CREDO has a strong and successful history in conducting numerous clinical trials in metabolic disorders with a majority of the trials focusing on diabetes and obesity.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the care of patients participating in clinical trials, ensuring compliance with the trial protocol, training and reporting requirements per ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely source documentation and data entry, and the maintenance of essential documents that validate integrity in the conduct of the clinical trial
  • Liaise with the Principal Investigator, other Sub-investigators, Trial Manager and Coordinators and all the multidisciplinary team
  • Supervision of patient recruitment, patient retention, data collection and assisting data analysis for patients participating in clinical trials

Requirements

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have up-to-date knowledge and skills in diabetes and obesity, as appropriate
  • Demonstrates, understands and adheres to Good Clinical Practice
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in teams and collaborate
