Ems Coordinator

Responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of EMS courses and continuing education programs which meet established state and national standards

• High School Diploma/GED, required
• 5 years of related experience in emergency medical services (EMS), preferably in both: field (911 ambulance and/or fire agency) and in hospital
• 3 years experience in instructing students by using adult learning principles and instructional methodologies
• Prefer experience in developing education programs
• Knowledge of the EMS, Law Enforcement and Fire Department agencies in service area
• Demonstrated experience analyzing raw data, finding trends, and preparing statistical reports
• Knowledge and experience in medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, cardiology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing and interventions
• Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology and Microsoft Office Professional software
• Current Healthcare License and/or Paramedic Certification in state of employment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required, must obtain *BLS Instructor Certification with 1 year of hire/transfer date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire
