Job Description

We are looking for an experienced EMR Coordinator to support and optimize Epic workflows within our organization. In this role, you will collaborate with end users, application teams, and leadership to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, and promote best practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven pediatric healthcare environment while ensuring seamless functionality and user adoption of Epic systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide daily operational support for Epic workflows, including registration, scheduling, billing, and coding processes
  • Assist in configuring, testing, validating, and deploying Epic system updates and enhancements
  • Conduct system patch testing, manage upgrades, and offer post-implementation support to ensure operational continuity
  • Participate in workflow assessments to identify areas for process improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and application managers to prioritize and implement system enhancements
  • Coordinate resolution of Help Desk incidents and change requests impacting Epic workflows
  • Work with external vendors and integrated systems to maintain and improve Epic functionality
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and job aids to support system use and training
  • Provide training sessions, refreshers, and go-live support to ensure end-user proficiency
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to set expectations and provide timely updates on system-related matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or IT
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare IT or operational support
  • At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Epic systems, particularly Access or Revenue Cycle modules
  • Strong knowledge of patient access and revenue cycle workflows, including registration, scheduling, billing, and coding
  • Familiarity with fast-paced healthcare environments involving multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Epicor
  • Experience with creating business requirement documents and managing change
  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite technologies
