Employment Solicitor

• Advising clients on contentious employment matters including tribunal claims
• Advising on redundancies, restructures and disciplinary processes
• Advising on employment contracts, policies and procedures
• Advising on settlement agreements and exits for senior employees
• Handling day-to-day HR and employment advisory matters
• Working closely with corporate and commercial colleagues, providing employment support on business transactions and corporate matters
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business clients
• Acting as a trusted advisor to employers on ongoing employment issues
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
• Contributing to business development and networking across the local business community
• Playing a key role in the continued growth of the firm’s employment practice

• Employment Solicitor with 6+ PQE
• Strong experience advising employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Experience handling employment tribunal matters
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• A pragmatic and commercially focused approach
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Experience advising SMEs and owner-managed businesses would be particularly advantageous
