Job Description

A well-established and commercially focused law firm in Luton is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their growing and collaborative team. The role involves advising a varied client base on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, representing clients in tribunals, assisting with corporate transactions, and mentoring junior lawyers. Job Responsibility

  • Providing day-to-day employment law advice (both contentious and non-contentious)
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal matters, including advocacy
  • Advising on TUPE, redundancy processes, business reorganisations, and employment terminations
  • Assisting with the employment aspects of corporate transactions (due diligence, warranties/indemnities, etc.)
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
  • Leading on business development initiatives including articles, webinars, and networking events
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE in employment law
  • Strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Ideally, exposure to corporate support/transactional employment work
  • Commercial acumen and ability to deliver practical, client-focused advice
  • Proven track record of meeting financial targets
  • Excellent communication, drafting and client relationship skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with a desire to progress
