Our client, who handles employment defense litigation matters, is looking for a fully-remote Employment Litigation Attorney with CA experience. This position is ideal for a California-licensed attorney with at least two years of focused experience handling workplace-related disputes and who is interested in a contract-to-hire structure. The attorney will contribute across key phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation, while working a 40-hour schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Manage employment litigation matters from initial case assessment through pre-trial activity in a remote work setting
Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, and other court filings that support case strategy and procedural deadlines
Oversee written discovery, draft responses and objections, and coordinate document production and review
Conduct legal research and translate findings into practical recommendations for ongoing employment disputes
Support trial readiness by organizing exhibits, summarizing evidence, and assisting with witness and hearing preparation
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain progress across active litigation matters
Monitor case timelines, court requirements, and deliverables to ensure matters move forward efficiently
Requirements:
Active attorney license with the ability to practice law in California
At least 2 years of experience focused specifically on employment litigation
Demonstrated background in civil litigation, including motion drafting and legal briefing
Hands-on experience managing discovery tasks such as written responses, objections, and document review
Ability to assist with trial preparation and work effectively across multiple active matters
Willingness to work in a permanent remote contract-to-hire opportunity
