Job Responsibility:

  • Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to clients on a range of employment law and workplace safety matters
  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders
  • Handle employment disputes and litigation
  • Provide support for transactional matters, including outsourcing
  • Draft employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand
  • Policy and contract reviews

Requirements:

  • 5+ PQE working in Australia
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act
  • Awareness of new or pending federal and state legislation, rules and regulations and industry developments and trends
  • Experience working independently and cross-functionally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia
