Job Description

Join Our Team as an Investigations Counsel at Axiom. We are seeking an experienced Investigations Counsel to join our technology client team. In this role, you will lead full-cycle corporate investigations for a fast-paced global SaaS/technology company, ensuring issues are handled thoroughly, consistently, and in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. This is an existing vacancy.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage end-to-end workplace investigations from intake through final report, including scoping, interviewing, evidence review, findings, and remediation recommendations
  • Handle a portfolio of 6–8 complex matters at any given time, with an expectation to close most cases within 30 days
  • Investigate a wide range of issues, from interpersonal complaints to complex multi-party matters, including Title VII and other EEO-related cases
  • Draft clear, well-reasoned investigation reports and partner closely with Legal, HR, Compliance, and business stakeholders on outcomes and remediation
  • Develop and refine investigation protocols, documentation standards, and reporting metrics
  • Stay current on employment, anti-discrimination, and whistleblower laws and best practices in workplace investigations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on, full-cycle workplace and corporate investigations experience
  • Demonstrated background handling complex, sensitive investigations, including Title VII / anti-discrimination and harassment matters
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes investigations simultaneously under tight timelines
  • Exceptional interviewing, fact-finding, and written communication skills, including concise, defensible report writing
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and licensed to practice law in New York
  • Willing to work on-site in the client's office 4-5 days per week

Nice to have

  • Prior in-house investigations experience at a global or rapidly scaling technology company
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Security) on investigations and remediation
  • Familiarity with global employment and data privacy considerations in cross-border investigations

  • Conduct internal investigations of reported Code of Business Ethics violations in a forensically sound, robust, fair and timely manner, and in compliance with relevant laws (including employment laws and data privacy laws)
  • Supervise investigators and attorneys who lead, plan, execute and report on investigations according to a defined framework while also using judgment and making credibility determinations
