This role involves supporting all employment law related matters across the business, including TUPE advice for bids and procurement , employee claims and complaints, and HR policy advice. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality legal advice on a range of initiatives, manage legal risk and ensure compliance with evolving legislation. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners is crucial, as is driving continuous improvement in legal processes.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high quality, pragmatic legal advice across employment matters including TUPE, claims management and HR policy, balancing risk, employee experience and commercial priorities
Build strong, collaborative relationships with HR, Vodafone Business, Supply Chain and wider internal teams to ensure aligned, timely and commercially focused legal support
Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, financial and reputational risks through robust assurance frameworks and proactive risk identification
Deliver training and guidance on relevant legal topics, driving continuous improvement through simplified, scalable and automated legal processes that enhance business self serve
Manage and influence external stakeholders including suppliers, customers, group functions and external counsel to support VodafoneThree’s commercial objectives
Monitor regulatory and legislative developments, sharing insights and identifying opportunities for improvements across the Legal team and wider business
Requirements:
Qualified employment lawyer with strong experience
telco sector background preferred
Solid understanding of technology and telecoms industries and awareness of relevant legal trends
Self starter with strong ownership of workload, able to progress matters independently while seeking guidance when needed
Strong risk management capability, balancing proportional mitigations with business growth objectives and embracing process/technology improvements
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align legal advice to business priorities and strategic decision making
Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted internal and external relationships
Strong analytical and communication skills, able to distil complex issues into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences
