Creating meaningful connections with local employers and businesses, government & industry/sector partners, disability support and other providers to seize golden work opportunities for our jobseekers
Getting to know your jobseekers, understanding their stories, and fostering trust so that you can effectively help them gain mahi aligned with their goals, experience and strengths
Helping jobseekers upskill by identifying training needs for their chosen industry/sector and liaising with training providers to gain short course certification

Job Responsibility

Build strong, trust-based relationships with job seekers to understand their goals, barriers, and aspirations, and develop tailored Job Plans that guide them toward sustainable employment
Conduct regular face-to-face appointments to monitor progress, provide motivation, and connect participants with relevant training, short courses, and employment preparation support
Proactively engage employers through active cold calling and networking to uncover hidden job opportunities, promote candidate strengths, and negotiate placements, trials, or wage subsidies
Collaborate with internal teams to match job seekers with suitable vacancies, ensuring a smooth transition into employment and celebrating milestones to build confidence
Deliver quality service whilst adhering to all contractual and compliance requirements
Maintain accurate records, manage compliance and reporting requirements, and process claims for employment outcomes in line with program guidelines and audit standards

12 months minimum experience working in employment services, DES (Disability Employment Services) or a similar role within occupational rehabilitation
Proven experience working within a high-performance driven environment
Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships
Strong attention to detail with a result focused approached
Strong organisational skills and capacity to successfully manage competing priorities
Show initiative and work unsupervised
Well-developed ability to undertake research and to prepare, collate and organise data for reporting purposes

Job Responsibility

Effectively communicate and interact with people across cultures
Collaborate with colleagues to support identification of clients who are ‘job ready’ and suitable for placement
Undertake Client meetings to create individual intervention plans to maximise achieving a return-to-work outcome
Apply relevant rehabilitation counselling strategies and methodologies
Conduct cold canvassing and marketing of ‘job ready’ clients to potential employers utilising relevant jurisdictional incentives and schemes
Working with primary Consultant to ensure client has required job skills such as managing an interview, injury disclosure, negotiating salary/hours/duties etc
Complete case reviews with Primary Consultant to assess and realign goals and strategies
Maintain regular contact with Primary Consultant and to follow up when monthly allocated time is exhausted
Completing legislative specific reports where applicable
Maintain documented evidence of all secured interviews and placements
