An Employment Consultant provides one‑on‑one and group support to school leavers with a disability. The role focuses on identifying each participant’s employment interests and current skill level, recognising areas for development, delivering capacity‑building strategies, and creating individual and group job plans and presentations. We're looking for someone who is personable, engaging, and who thrives when supporting young people.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain excellent relationship with school leavers, clients. families and stakeholders
Bridge the gap between school leavers with a disability and employment opportunities
Confidently facilitate fun and engaging group capacity building classes, work safety and job search sessions
Researching the industry and call prospective business's to help gain employment opportunities
Liaise and negotiate with local business and potential employers on behalf of our employees, discuss suitability and effectively refer them to suitable opportunities - this includes warm and cold calls to prospective business
Ensure reports, compliance with administrative processes are followed
Requirements:
Clear communication and a team player attitude
Great administration and report writing skills
Current NSW Driver’s License (P2 and above)
WWCC | NDISWC | First Aid and CPR | NDIS Orientation Module
