Job Description:

Growing law firm is offering an exciting opportunity for an employment attorney, based in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be handling labor and employment law matters, providing legal counsel to clients, and managing a variety of labor and employment-related projects. Newly barred attorneys with PRIOR HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) EXPERIENCE are encouraged to apply!

Job Responsibility:

  • Counsel clients on various aspects of employment law
  • Conduct thorough legal research related to employment law matters
  • Draft and revise legal documents pertinent to labor and employment issues
  • Review, advise, and update human resources policies, ensuring compliance
  • Represent clients in dispute resolution proceedings and litigation
  • Oversee and manage labor and employment-related projects
  • Leverage your understanding of California labor laws in advising clients
  • Use your expertise in Human Resources administration to inform your legal advice
  • Handle matters related to EEO, ADA, and FMLA accommodations
  • Conduct investigations as necessary, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of California Labor Law
  • Proficiency in Employment Law - Employer
  • Able to conduct thorough legal investigations
  • Capable of providing sound legal advice in accordance with company policies and regulations
  • Experience with Human Resources (HR) Administration
  • Familiarity with EEOC policies and procedures
  • Ability to handle ADA Accommodations in a detail-oriented manner
  • Must have experience with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
