Exciting opportunity for an Employment Attorney to become part of a well-respected team in the legal industry, based in Sacramento, California. This role presents a unique opportunity to provide advice and counsel, conduct training sessions, and lead investigations for both public and private sector employers.

Job Responsibility:

Provide legal advice on matters of employment law
Conduct thorough investigations related to employment law issues
Develop and update employee handbooks to ensure legal compliance
Deliver training sessions to employees and management on employment law matters
Utilize your knowledge of Administrative Law to provide comprehensive legal advice
Handle all communication professionally
Ensure all legal practices are in alignment with California law
Maintain a high standard of work, meeting the annual billable requirement

Requirements:

Proficiency in Employment Law
Ability to provide sound Legal Advice on various employment matters
Experience in creating and revising Employee Handbooks
Ability to Conduct Investigations into allegations of misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and other employment-related issues
Expertise in Administrative Law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of California law
Ability to meet annual billable requirement

Work with CLA’s Managing Attorneys in conducting annual performance reviews
Provide support to advocates in other units as needed
Regular travel to CLA’s offices across central and western Massachusetts to support and build relationships with staff in person
