Exciting opportunity for an Employment Attorney to become part of a well-respected team in the legal industry, based in Sacramento, California. This role presents a unique opportunity to provide advice and counsel, conduct training sessions, and lead investigations for both public and private sector employers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide legal advice on matters of employment law
  • Conduct thorough investigations related to employment law issues
  • Develop and update employee handbooks to ensure legal compliance
  • Deliver training sessions to employees and management on employment law matters
  • Utilize your knowledge of Administrative Law to provide comprehensive legal advice
  • Handle all communication professionally
  • Ensure all legal practices are in alignment with California law
  • Maintain a high standard of work, meeting the annual billable requirement

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Employment Law
  • Ability to provide sound Legal Advice on various employment matters
  • Experience in creating and revising Employee Handbooks
  • Ability to Conduct Investigations into allegations of misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and other employment-related issues
  • Expertise in Administrative Law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of California law
  • Ability to meet annual billable requirement

  • Provide support to advocates in other units as needed
  • Regular travel to CLA’s offices across central and western Massachusetts to support and build relationships with staff in person
