Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Employment Attorney to join a congenial boutique law firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with expertise in California employment law, particularly in Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation. Job Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of PAGA litigation, including case evaluation, discovery processes, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding California labor and employment laws
  • Collaborate effectively with partners and associates to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-structured motions and briefs
  • Oversee case management tasks to ensure timely and efficient handling of litigation
  • Develop strategies for class action and employment-related litigation cases
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation efforts
  • Maintain compliance with legal standards and regulations while representing clients' interests

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active California Bar admission in good standing
  • At least three years of experience handling PAGA litigation and related employment cases
  • Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and conducting discovery processes
  • Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Experience in civil litigation and class action lawsuits
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for case strategy development
