Job Description

We are currently working with a top tier global law firm in London that is seeking to appoint an Employment Associate on a 6-month fixed term contract, starting ASAP. The firm operates a hybrid working policy, with 3 days per week required in their London office. This opportunity has arisen due to increased workflow within their highly regarded employment team and offers the chance to work on a broad mix of matters in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will join a well-established, ranked employment team advising a high-quality client base, including multinational corporates and financial institutions. The role will involve a varied workload spanning contentious, advisory, and transactional employment matters, with the balance shifting depending on team demand. You will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, gaining exposure to complex and often cross-border mandates.

Job Responsibility

  • Advising on a broad range of employment law matters, including disputes, advisory work, and transactional support
  • Supporting on high-value and complex mandates for a diverse client base
  • Managing matters with a high degree of autonomy where appropriate

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or another commonwealth jurisdiction such as Australia or New Zealand, for example)
  • Experience from a leading City or international law firm is essential
  • Ideally 3+ years' PQE in handling a wealth of Employment law experience, spanning contentious, advisory and corporate support matters
  • Strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Available to commence a new role at short notice or immediately
