A leading international law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Employment Associate Solicitor to join its established and highly regarded team based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a diverse client base, including international corporations, national businesses, and regional employers. Job Responsibility:
Advising clients on the full spectrum of employment law issues, including contracts, policies, grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, and TUPE
Acting on contentious matters, including representing clients in Employment Tribunal and High Court proceedings
Supporting the Corporate team on employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients across key sectors
Delivering practical, commercially focused advice and training to HR teams and management
Contributing to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the Employment team in Birmingham
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor (1–5 years PQE) with demonstrable experience in employment law
Strong academic background with excellent technical and drafting skills
Confident communicator with a commercial mindset and client-focused approach
Capable of handling a varied caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
Enthusiastic about developing expertise in areas such as international employment law, diversity & inclusion, or employment aspects of corporate transactions
A proactive, engaged team player who thrives in a supportive, ambitious environment
