Job Description:

In this role, you will be supporting and empowering people with mental health challenges to set goals, overcome barriers, and find their next steps in recovery, employment or other vocational activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support and empower people with mental health challenges to set goals, overcome barriers, and find their next steps in recovery, employment or other vocational activities
  • Work as a team with Restore recovery workers and other coaching colleagues to deliver a quality, person-centred, goal-focused programme driven by regular reviews, focusing on strength and resilience
  • Provide one to one sessions using the GROW model (agreed approaches)
  • Assist people to improve their employability, creating CVs, job search, make applications, and prepare for interviews
  • Support individuals whose jobs may be at risk due to the effects of their poor mental health to retain their employment
  • Foster collaborative work with other employment agencies, including - DWP, Connect to Work, Keystone Hub IPS workers and other relevant agencies and local community groups
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families, carers, and community networks, to co-produce new opportunities and initiatives
  • Ensure all practice is safe, trauma-informed, and rooted in dignity, empowerment, and confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, resilience, and commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented mental health support
  • Experience delivering one-to-one support using culturally responsive and inclusive approaches that are rooted in a strengths focused model of change
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work in a flexible, person-centred way
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal and motivational)
  • IT literacy (proficient in Word, email, and data input)
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Restore’s service area across Oxfordshire
