Job Description

We’re looking for an Employment Advisor – Project Search to join our Inclusive Learning team at New College Swindon. This is a rewarding role supporting learners with additional needs to develop employability skills, access meaningful work placements and progress into sustained employment. Working closely with employers, learners and support teams, you’ll play a key role in helping young people build confidence, independence and workplace skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Support learners with SEND to access and sustain meaningful work placements
  • Provide tailored employability support and workplace coaching
  • Build positive relationships with employers and external partners
  • Support learners to develop confidence, independence and employability skills
  • Monitor learner progress and support achievement of outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams
  • Support transitions into employment and progression opportunities

Requirements

  • Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND or additional needs
  • Experience within employability, careers, supported internships or workplace support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to motivate and support learners with different needs and abilities
  • A proactive, supportive and adaptable approach
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
