Job Description:

Are you excited about delivering the best employee experience to our internal guests? We are seeking a People & Culture Employee Welfare Manager who shares our commitment to creating outstanding employee housing and welfare experiences. As an ambassador of exceptional employee experiences, you will focus on employee housing, visa management, ensuring accurate collection and maintenance of confidential information while providing a welcoming presence for all our employees-tenants. On the resort level, you will assist employees in overall welfare, including but not limited to locker rooms, canteen and heart of house areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate with tenants in both on-site and off-site housing
  • Assist with employee arrivals and departures in housing
  • Conduct monthly inspections of off-site housing in the Whistler community, with follow-ups as needed
  • Prepare tenancy agreements and coordinate bed assignments
  • Respond to day-to-day employee housing inquiries
  • Manage our property management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for employee housing units
  • Monitor housing inventory and optimize occupancy
  • Ensure adherence to all employee housing policies and procedures
  • Develop initiatives to increase staff housing engagement and satisfaction
  • Oversee heart of house areas and work closely with housekeeping, health and safety and engineering teams to make our heart of house areas are clean and maintained
  • Process, collect and administer visa applications and health checks for applicants

Requirements:

  • Six months to one-year previous experience in HR or hospitality is preferred with focus on employee housing
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be comfortable working independently
  • Knowledge of common administrative tasks and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Excellent organizational skills, high level of professionalism and integrity, while maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Welcoming and engaging with the ability to learn and grow
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, technology, and other HR databases (Workday experience preferred)
  • Ability to multi-task, work autonomously, and collaborate within a fast-paced environment
  • Speaking, writing and reading English is required
  • Ability to work in Mauritius. This position is not sponsoring the right to work in Mauritius
  • Must be familiar with Mauritius, the location of the resort, and laws applicable with employment is preferred
