Randstad HR Partners is seeking a progressive and dedicated Employee Relations Manager to join the team at a leading national multi-site quick-service name in food. This critical role operates as the central point of accountability, driving the end-to-end management of complex employee relations and conduct matters across the business, ensuring consistency, lawfulness, and alignment with the organisation's values. The role is national, multisite and offers a hybrid/flexible work arrangement.
Job Responsibility:
Expert Case Management: Lead the end-to-end management of complex and high-risk employee relations matters nationally, including misconduct, grievances, bullying, harassment, discrimination, and performance-related conduct
Investigations & Due Process: Lead and oversee workplace investigations, including determining scope, approach, and methodology. Conduct investigations into complex or senior-level matters and review reports to ensure quality, defensibility, and compliance with procedural fairness
Advisory & Decision-Making: Act as the primary decision-maker and escalation point for complex or sensitive conduct matters, providing pragmatic, risk-based advice to People Partners, leaders, and the broader People team
Compliance & Consistency: Oversee the consistent application of disciplinary outcomes across both corporate and franchise environments, ensuring alignment with legal requirements, risk appetite, and precedent
Stakeholder Relations: Partner closely with Legal, People, and Operations teams to ensure aligned and coordinated responses to conduct matters, including assistance with external bodies (e.g., Fair Work Commission, regulators)
Governance & Strategy: Maintain oversight of ER case data, trends, and risk hot spots. Prepare reporting and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of employee relations frameworks, policies, and procedures
Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop the Employee Relations / Case Advisor, and support capability uplift across the People team on ER matters
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in employee relations, workplace relations, investigations, or a related discipline
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and relevant awards
Demonstrated experience managing complex conduct, grievance, and investigation matters end-to-end
Strong judgment and risk assessment capability, with high-level written skills for investigation reports and executive recommendations
Tertiary qualification in law, human resources, workplace relations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
