Join Our Team as an Employee Relations Investigator at Axiom. We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Investigator to support our technology client team. In this role, you will lead full-cycle workplace investigations for a fast-paced global SaaS/technology company, ensuring issues are handled thoroughly, fairly, and in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. This is an existing vacancy.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end employee relations investigations from intake through closure, including triage, scoping, interviews, evidence review, findings, and recommendations
Handle a portfolio of 6–8 complex matters at any given time, with an expectation to close most cases within approximately 30 days
Investigate a wide range of concerns, from interpersonal “he said/she said” conflicts to complex, multi-party matters, including Title VII and other EEO-related cases
Draft clear, well-structured investigation reports and partner closely with Legal, HR, and business leaders on outcomes, remediation, and risk mitigation
Maintain accurate case documentation, tracking, and metrics
contribute to continuous improvement of ER investigation processes and protocols
Provide guidance to HR and managers on investigation best practices, policy interpretation, and issue resolution
Stay current on employment and anti-discrimination laws, internal policies, and investigation best practices
Requirements:
10+ years of hands-on employee relations and workplace investigations experience
Demonstrated experience handling complex and sensitive matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations
Experience in a fast-paced technology or SaaS environment strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple high-volume, high-stakes cases simultaneously under tight timelines
Exceptional interviewing, fact-finding, documentation, and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus
Willing to work on-site in our client's office in New York/Manhattan 4-5 days/week
Nice to have:
Prior in-house experience as an Employee Relations or HR Investigator at a global or rapidly scaling organization
Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional employment law and cross-border investigation considerations
Experience using case management and HR systems to track investigations and generate reporting/insights
