  • Support change programmes, including employee consultation, advising leaders through periods of change and helping them navigate people risk, communication and implementation
  • Coach and influence stakeholders to achieve fair, commercial outcomes that balance risk and results
  • Apply employment legislation, policy and procedure to ensure compliance and best practice, working with in-country stakeholders where matters span multiple jurisdictions
  • Track and interpret legislative and code changes, translating them into clear, practical guidance
  • Build credible relationships that promote positive employee relations across the business
  • Deliver an effective internal ER consultancy focused on adding value and enabling colleague effectiveness
  • Contribute to a proactive ER agenda, including projects, knowledge sharing and professional development
  • Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies, including completing mandatory training

Requirements

  • Excellent technical employee relations and employment law knowledge gained through employee relations, human resources generalist experience or through relevant experience in a management or legal role
  • Significant experience advising leaders through organisational change (including consultation and restructure activity), with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels
  • Comfortable operating internationally, partnering with stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions and adapting to different legal and cultural environments, while maintaining a strong understanding of UK employment practice
  • Able to act with sensitivity and diplomacy in dealing with challenging people issues
  • Proven commercial approach with a good understanding of business needs and able to make sound judgements
  • Experience of advising and influencing line managers and adept at handling difficult conversations
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment, manage workload to deliver to tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team, recognise boundaries of own expertise and seek input from others as needed
