Lead and manage a portfolio of complex, high-stakes employee relations matters including performance cases, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution across multiple business units in EMEA
Develop and drive the employee relations strategy and roadmap for highly ambiguous or cross-functional organisational challenges, bringing clarity and structure to undefined problem spaces
Serve as a strategic advisor to HR business partners, legal counsel, and business leaders on employee relations policy interpretation, risk assessment, and resolution approaches
Identify systemic trends in employee relations case data and translate findings into proactive programs, policy improvements, or leadership coaching interventions
Build and maintain influential relationships with key stakeholders across HR, legal, compliance, people operations, and business leadership to align employee relations practices with organisational goals
Develop scalable frameworks, tools, and resources that enable a consistent application of employee relations principles across teams and geographies
Work closely with cross-functional partners for navigating business restructuring, workforce changes, or evolving regulatory environments
Leverage AI-integrated workflows and data analysis to improve efficiency across the employee relations function
Lead with integrity and build internal community, fostering collaboration and mentoring newer members of the ER and HR teams
Requirements
12+ years of experience in employee relations, employment law, human resources, or a related field
Experience leading high-complexity, cross-functional employee relations programs or initiatives with measurable organisational impact
Experience advising and influencing senior leaders and legal partners on sensitive workplace matters, policy application, and risk mitigation
Experience developing scalable employee relations frameworks, investigation methodologies, or policy governance processes across large or matrixed organisations
Experience identifying systemic workforce trends and translating data into strategic recommendations that inform people programs or organisational decisions
Effective communication and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated experience adapting to evolving organizational priorities and building collaborative relationships across teams
Consult and coach effectively with stakeholders to clarify objectives, diagnose underlying issues, and define practical, outcome-focused options and recommendations

Experience operating in a global or multi-jurisdictional employee relations capacity, navigating varying employment law landscapes across EMEA ideally including experience within UK, Ireland, France and Germany
Demonstrated ability to use data analytics or AI-assisted tools to surface employee relations trends or drive operational efficiency
Experience partnering with labour relations teams or managing work councils and union-related matters in a technology or large-scale enterprise environment
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
