Job Description:

This Employee Relations Advisor role sits within our established ER function and will work closely alongside our Senior ER Advisor, partnering with People & Culture Business Partners and subject-matter experts across the business to support a positive, compliant, and human-centred employee experience. With a primary focus on the UK, and some opportunity to support US-based cases, you’ll help ensure employee relations matters are handled with clarity, respect, and sound judgement. You’ll also contribute to strengthening our use of data, systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve insight, consistency, and decision-making, always guided by our Bumble values of Respect, Courage, and Excellence. This is a 9-month fixed-term opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on ER casework, values thoughtful collaboration, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a lean, high-trust team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide practical, compliant guidance to managers on employee relations matters
  • Manage a varied ER caseload for our Bumble Tech function, including investigations and resolutions
  • Apply and interpret company policies and employment legislation, with a primary focus on the UK and some exposure to US employee relations matters
  • Record and manage cases accurately using our ER case management system (Dovetail)
  • Use ER case data and system reporting to spot recurring themes and potential risks
  • Partner closely with the Senior ER Advisor, People & Culture colleagues, and Legal to support consistent decision-making
  • Support compliance-related activity connected to right-to-work and visa processes in the UK and US
  • Act as frontline support for employees and managers on employee relations queries
  • Take accurate notes that capture the salient points of ER meetings
  • Draft clear summaries, outcomes, and follow-up communications
  • Coach and support managers through performance, conduct, and absence-related issues

Requirements:

  • Typically requires 2+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills
  • Hands-on experience supporting employee relations casework, including investigations, documentation, and manager guidance
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law, with openness to learning and supporting ER matters in other jurisdictions such as the US
  • Experience using an ER or HR case management system, with confidence maintaining accurate records and drawing insights from case data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively across People & Culture and the wider business
  • Confident handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
  • An inclusive, people-first approach, paired with commercial awareness and a willingness to take ownership and see work through to resolution
  • Familiarity with HR systems, documentation tools, and emerging AI-enabled workflows that support efficiency, insight, and consistency in ER practices

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a global organisation
  • Exposure to visa or right-to-work processes
  • Workday experience
