This Employee Relations Advisor role sits within our established ER function and will work closely alongside our Senior ER Advisor, partnering with People & Culture Business Partners and subject-matter experts across the business to support a positive, compliant, and human-centred employee experience. With a primary focus on the UK, and some opportunity to support US-based cases, you’ll help ensure employee relations matters are handled with clarity, respect, and sound judgement. You’ll also contribute to strengthening our use of data, systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve insight, consistency, and decision-making, always guided by our Bumble values of Respect, Courage, and Excellence. This is a 9-month fixed-term opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on ER casework, values thoughtful collaboration, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a lean, high-trust team.
Job Responsibility:
Provide practical, compliant guidance to managers on employee relations matters
Manage a varied ER caseload for our Bumble Tech function, including investigations and resolutions
Apply and interpret company policies and employment legislation, with a primary focus on the UK and some exposure to US employee relations matters
Record and manage cases accurately using our ER case management system (Dovetail)
Use ER case data and system reporting to spot recurring themes and potential risks
Partner closely with the Senior ER Advisor, People & Culture colleagues, and Legal to support consistent decision-making
Support compliance-related activity connected to right-to-work and visa processes in the UK and US
Act as frontline support for employees and managers on employee relations queries
Take accurate notes that capture the salient points of ER meetings
Draft clear summaries, outcomes, and follow-up communications
Coach and support managers through performance, conduct, and absence-related issues
Requirements:
Typically requires 2+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills
Hands-on experience supporting employee relations casework, including investigations, documentation, and manager guidance
Solid understanding of UK employment law, with openness to learning and supporting ER matters in other jurisdictions such as the US
Experience using an ER or HR case management system, with confidence maintaining accurate records and drawing insights from case data
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively across People & Culture and the wider business
Confident handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, empathy, and professionalism
An inclusive, people-first approach, paired with commercial awareness and a willingness to take ownership and see work through to resolution
Familiarity with HR systems, documentation tools, and emerging AI-enabled workflows that support efficiency, insight, and consistency in ER practices
