We are seeking an Employee Relations expert to join our Employee Relations team. In this integral role, you will be responsible for managing employee relations issues and investigations; advising and counseling managers and employees regarding key employment policies, complex leave/disability issues, and performance management; using data to inform decisions and company initiatives, advising/counseling managers and employees, and helping guide the organization toward a more proactive employee relations landscape. Our Employee Relations team is an independent group within our Human Resources function, with a high level of credibility, professionalism, and risk mitigation responsibility.
Job Responsibility:
Investigate employee relations concerns, including complaints of unfair treatment contrary to Lam's policies, retaliation and other work-related issues
advise managers on how to manage workplace concerns, recommend appropriate resolution of complaints and monitor results
Provide employee and manager training on core ER topics
Advise and counsel supervisors/manager across the Lam on how to handle performance issues and concerns
Prepare investigative documentation, including interview notes and summary of findings
Consult with and provide recommendations to HR Business Partners, managers, and employees about company policies and procedures and the need for compliance
Facilitate requests for workplace accommodation
Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned teams to anticipate their needs and support them from an HR perspective
Analyze data to determine themes and trends, and make proactive recommendations to either mitigate risk or improve the employee experience
Maintain professionalism and always provide solutions and guidance that are within legal compliance, relevant and accessible to the employees involved, and consistent with Lam policies and values
Requirements:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in law (preferred), human resources, business or a related field
At least 5+ years of dedicated employee relations experience within a formal ER function is essential
10+ years of professional experience, ideally including extensive HR or work/organizational psychology background
Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws relevant to the supported countries or regions
Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases, including discrimination and harassment matters
Labor relations experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, tact, and respect in sensitive situations
Proficiency in English
Nice to have:
German language skills preferred
Experience supporting global employee populations, ideally in manufacturing, warehouse, or other high‑volume labor environments
Legal background highly desirable
Training or certification in mediation, organizational/work psychology, or related areas
