This position reports into the District Manager and collaborates with the Human Resources Department. The Employee Engagement Specialist partners with HR and operation leaders to develop innovative programming to drive customer and employee engagement and deliver on our desired hospitality culture.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for our hospitality Service Excellence program, which is our framework for outstanding customer service with a clear focus on the student experience
Develop a strategic plan aimed at increasing student satisfaction across all dining locations
Works with the management team to plan, facilitate, and implement frequent engagement activities. Utilizes corporate Employee Engagement resources and creates and establishes best practices within the account and foster a positive workplace culture
Develops and leads our Employee Committee. Responsible for bringing forward feedback and ideas to the senior management team. Assists with implementing initiatives to further employee engagement and satisfaction
Manage the tracking and actioning of engagement surveys to solicit feedback and identify any opportunities for continuous improvement
Assists with the planning and carrying out employee engagement events on an ongoing basis inclusive of our annual employee appreciation celebration
Conducts employee onboarding and ongoing training, with a focus on our Service Excellence model in order provide our employees with the tools to deliver passionate service
Frequently attends employee pre-shift meetings prompting Service Excellence initiatives and building employee engagement and morale
Responsible for overseeing our Employee Recognition program utilization
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in a related field
At least two years’ experience developing HR/engagement programs
Experience in Food Service Operations is an asset
Highly motivated self-starter
Strong leadership skills
Passionate about employee engagement
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Professionalism and diplomacy with all levels of the organization
Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel
