Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Employee Communications Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role requires a skilled individual with over seven years of expertise in building strong employee relationships, managing workplace concerns, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. The position is based in Santa Barbara, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between executives and employees to address concerns and foster understanding
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues and provide actionable recommendations
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage employee performance and resolve workplace challenges
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, maintaining ethical and legal standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and execute employee engagement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in employee relations or a related field
  • Proven expertise in conducting employee relations investigations with discretion and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of local employment laws and labor regulations
  • Experience in performance management and handling workplace disputes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage employees at all levels
  • Ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and policy updates
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and build positive relationships
