The Employee Benefits Account Executive is responsible for account management of new and renewal business, sales, and customer service support for their assigned book of business, both in-house and out of the office.
Job Responsibility:
Uses advanced insurance knowledge to maintain and renew existing Benefits book of business, while actively pursuing new benefit clients
Secures additional lines of coverage for existing Benefits clients
Marketing New Accounts and Renewals, handling all carrier correspondence
Preparing New Account and Renewal Proposals
Assistance with submission of New Business and follow up on outstanding requirements
Preparing AORs and forwarding to carriers
Preparing Top Gun Reports for New Sales, AORs, and lost business
Presenting Renewal Proposals to Clients and facilitating renewal of all Benefits Lines
Oversees all aspects of servicing their book of business, including but not limited to Client data entry into agency management system
Close Renewal / New Group files, make sure check list is complete
Month End Procedures for renewing groups
Preparing and sending Thank You Letters
Organizes and oversees enrollment meetings for clients
May be required to travel by themselves to Open Enrollment meetings and present Employee Benefits at meeting as well as answer questions etc
Communicates with clients via phone, email, or in face-to-face meetings, both in and out of the office
Prepare monthly/quarterly health plan review summary and send to client or review with client in person as needed
Send monthly Brown & Brown Compliance Webinars to clients along with any other educational opportunities throughout the year
Do New Hire OE Presentations (via Teams or In Person) for specific clients as needed
Attend other Brown & Brown Meetings/Trainings as offered and/or requested
Handle all client correspondence when producer is out of office/unavailable – includes answering questions, researching issues
Maintains professional relationships with insurance carriers and clients, attending meetings and training sessions as necessary
Processing Individual Health Applications/Quoting
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
1 – 3 years' experience in a similar position
