Job Description

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Coordinator to join our growing team in Tacoma, WA.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine clerical tasks including data entry and filing including renewing customers’ benefit plans in the customer management system
  • Review and update plan attributes in the customer management system following each renewal
  • Work with carriers to request materials for customers (e.g., Open Enrollment materials) and/or follow up on previous requests made by AMs
  • Support AMs with processing adds, terms or changes to employee enrollments
  • Communicate with carriers regarding customer billing discrepancies or simple claims issues
  • Generate personalized forms for each customer (e.g., Annual Compliance Notices)
  • Review carrier contracts for accuracy
  • Draft employee communications materials for peer review by AM
  • Read and respond to all emails within one business day
  • On occasion, pull files from ImageRight and email to Producers, at AM’s request
  • Maintain appropriate level of confidentially of information processed
  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or be a high school graduate with a minimum of one (1) year of office environment experience
  • other combination of work and/or education will be considered
  • Willingness and desire to learn about Employee Benefits
  • Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to learn software program at an accelerated ability
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
