Job Description:

The role of an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner (EWP/TP) is one that requires resilience, empathy, patience, and the ability to engage our young people in their day-to-day routines. You will build and develop trusting relationships with CYPs that will in turn, provide a secure base for them to thrive.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and develop trusting relationships with CYPs
  • Support young people in all aspects of their lives, such as in their schooling, engaging in new and varied activities, and in achieving their own aspirations and wishes
  • Deliver home/school based interventions to support the wellbeing of children young people and their families
  • Provide therapeutically informed interventions and support to children, young people and their families in schools, their homes, hospital etc
  • Sleep-in if appointed as a residential practitioner

Requirements:

  • Must have a Full UK Driving license
  • Must have a passion for working with Children & Young people
  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is desirable
  • Degree qualifications in counselling or mental health is highly essential for the role of an emotional well-being practitioner
  • Prior experience working with children & Young People is desirable
  • Flexibility and understanding that we are open all year round, this role does entail working bank holidays (including Christmas days)

Nice to have:

  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Prior experience working with children & Young People
