Job Description:

Animal Emergency Service Hawthorn East are searching for experienced and dedicated nurses with a love for emergency nursing. As an emergency vet nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. Experience exciting case diversity such as GDVs, impalements, hit by cars and in summer ticks, toads and snakes.

Job Responsibility:

Hands on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, ICU, surgery, and critical patient care
Collaborative approach to care between vets and vet nurses

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
Strong communication and team-work skills
Love of learning and continual improvement
Personal mode of transport (essential for shift work)
Flexibility to work shifts in an after-hours clinic (nights, weekends, public holidays)
