Job Description

AES Hobart is seeking a dedicated vet to join our supportive, experienced, and fun team, with great mentoring and opportunities to grow in ECC.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide exceptional emergency and critical care to pets
  • Join a supportive, experienced, and fun team
  • Receive on-the-job and external training
  • Work with a skilled team of vet nurses, specialist-trained client care representatives, and a supportive leadership group

Requirements

  • Ideally 3+ years graduated with at least 1-2 years of ECC experience (preferably from a referral environment, but all applicants considered)
  • Solid ECC foundational skills and the ability to manage a wide range of emergency cases
  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent), recognised in Australia
  • Current or eligible registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board in Australia
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude with strong communication and client management skills
  • A genuine passion for emergency and critical care and a commitment to patient-first medicine

  • Appealing salary $108,000 – $156,000 full-time equivalent (dependent on experience) + super + 17.5% leave loading
  • Permanent Part Time position working minimum of 60 hours per fortnight
